Got this idea years ago from another teacher, and it’s f***ing incredible. Read this article, and do this activity. Gets kids talking and excited and noticing patterns from the very start.

First days of school are so exhausting… Man, but there is nothing like watching a brand new group of kids start to slowly open up, and to see the potential in every single one of them.
