Books, Articles and other readings

There’s a lot of good ideas out there

The best thing about books? They are around forever.
The best thing about Sequoia National Park? The trees have been around, forever.

I have never walked around a forest and been so obsessed with trees like I was walking around the Sequoias. The history each giant trunk could tell, the identity their roots have implanted, the scars the branches were burdened to hold.

I am not going to pretend I am the expert at teaching high school math, not even close. My entire philosophy was born out of other people’s ideas. I will populate this page with the most powerful thing I have read to help create my teaching identity.

Think about how rarely you find a giant tree standing alone.

Same with teachers.
